Here at the Insider we cannot believe how quickly December has come around! December is a great month in London and here are the Insider’s top tips for what’s happening this month.
Christmas Carols by the Royal Opera House (Wednesday 8th December)
The Royal Opera House is supporting the charity Children Hospices UK by presenting a Christmas Carol Concert at St Pauls Church. The concert will feature wonderful seasonal music performed by members of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House joined by choristers from the Royal Opera Chorus.

The Snowman, London Peacock Theatre (from 1st December – 9th January)
The stage show based on Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman has become a modern classic, delighting children (and adults) with its enchanting mix of storytelling, spectacle and magic. Guarantees to give you that Christmassy feel!
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland (from now until 3rd January)

Christmas comes to Hyde park, great attractions are on offer including ice rink, observation wheel, various rides and a delicious German food market. Best of all, entry is free.
The Fleming Collection presents the Glasgow Boys, Berkeley Street (from now until 18th December)
The Fleming Collection is holding a major exhibition of works by the Glasgow Boys, the group of highly influential and internationally-renowned Scottish-based artists who on occasions enraged Victorian Britain. A must see.
New Years Eve River Cruise with Kings Cruises (Friday 31st December)

There is no better way to spend New Years Eve than a cruise on the river Thames. Front row seats to one of the best fireworks displays in the world aswell as dinner and drinks all catered for.
