From 27 June till 16 July, London’s ‘square mile’ will come to life with a vibrant, creative programme of music and art. The City of London festival highlights London as a cosmopolitan city, with its multitude of international connections.

This year’s musical programme has a special focus on Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, with numerous concerts celebrating the musical genius from distinguished Australian baritone Peter Coleman-Wright, Australia’s foremost didgeridoo player William Barton, the New Zealand String Quartet and singers Anna Leese and Jonathan Lemalu, amongst others.
As for drama, a triple bill by the award winning Royal New Zealand Ballet will be showcased along with the Festival Procession, with the guest appearance of Maori artist and a waka (war canoe) paddled up the Thames followed by a haka warrior dance!
The Festival is sure to provide plenty of excitement and entertainment, giving Londoners a little taste of life down under and an introduction to the music and arts from the other side of the world.
