This weekend brings with it the annual Notting Hill Carnival, stretching throughout Notting Hill.
A whirlwind of brightly coloured outfits complete with huge plumes of feathers and expressive vibrant headgear, steel brass bands drumming away with island fervour, hundreds of Caribbean food stalls serving jerk chicken, rice and peas and of course Rum Punch. This truly is a celebration of Caribbean culture giving London a little taste of tropical island life.
