It can be hard to try stay healthy whilst on the move and away from your local shops and routines, but all is not lost! There are little things you can do to help combat jet lag, eat healthily and feel fresh and perky on your travels. Our new Mayfair hotel gym also offers a discrete and peaceful place to exercise. London healthy eating at The Grill
Our Head Chef, Braden Charlesworth, has carefully crafted the menu for our AA Winning Rosette Mayfair restaurant and has given his top tips for healthy eating in London:
Eat a substantial breakfast
Fuelling up at the beginning of the day is exactly what your body needs. Head downstairs to The Grill and start your day with fresh fruit and granola, or wholegrain bread and egg for some protein.
Top healthy options at The Grill
Starter:
- The sardines with heirloom tomatoes, pinenuts and parsley is a great choice – sardines are a natural source of omega 3 which is great for keeping your skin hydrated and encourages healthy digestion. Parsley is amazingly nutritional; good for your blood, digestion, has more vitamin C than an orange and is an anti-carcinogen.
Main course:
- The grilled plaice is low in calories, low in fat and a rich source of protein. Samphire contains no saturated fat and tons of minerals, and potatoes are a well-known nutritious food. Order with a side of seasonal greens or salad.
Dessert:
- You are allowed dessert! Our infused English berries, packed full of anti-oxidants, make your heart very happy. And anyway, it’s all about balance and moderation, so go ahead and add the ice-cream this time.
London is a fantastic place to visit for many, many reasons, but relevant here is that you will do plenty of walking as you sightsee, shop and explore this exciting city.
