As the year draws to a close, it’s only natural to reflect on the last 12 months. What were the best moments and events in London during 2012? We take a moment to look back on the events that shaped our year…
The first thing to spring to mind is certainly the Olympics. London 2012 was a triumph, bringing an incredible atmosphere to our capital city and enjoyed by people all over the globe. The weather held out, the transport ran smoother than ever, we had the most smiley Olympic volunteers in the history of the games and, of course, there were plenty of magical, emotional moments that will never be forgotten. Which was your favourite?

The Diamond Jubilee in June was another huge event in London that brought people together and gave us an extra day’s holiday! The whole nation went into a bunting-making frenzy and streets were closed as neighborhoods gathered in traditional street party fashion.
At Flemings, we have had a very exciting year – the highlight of which has got to be the launch of our Townhouse back in May. The newly refurbished Mayfair Townhouse was launched with an exclusive ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed party, complete with a huge Townhouse cake and giant game of Flemopoly (Flemings’ Monopoly).
Achievements for our dedicated and hard-working team were special for Flemings this year. The Grill was awarded a Rosette, we won two awards at the Hotel Cateys and our Head Chef Braden won Visionary Chef of the Year. Great achievements all round and we continue to do everything we can to surpass our guests’ expectations!
Let us know your best moments of 2012 on Facebook or Twitter, we’d love to hear from you.
