Wimbledon is a great British tennis tournament that gets us all shouting at our TV’s and later heading down to our local tennis courts or parks with friends and tennis rackets.
Fleming Mayfair is in a great location for anyone wanting to stay close to the grounds; we are just a short journey away from Wimbledon with only one change on the tube line. You will also benefit from being in the centre of London surrounded by a variety of attractions for any extra time spent in London.
If you do not have courtside tickets you can still gain access to the grounds of Wimbledon and enjoy the amazing atmosphere with the large outdoor screen, on what is known as Henman Hill or Murrys Mound. You will also be able to benefit from exploring the gorgeous grounds, joining in the activities and spot famous tennis players. Please do be aware there is a maximum capacity for the grounds so it is advised to arrive early!
If you otherwise want to celebrate Wimbledon 2014 in London we are showing all of the games in our Cocktail bar where you can try a selection of delicious cocktails or enjoy the great British tradition of Wimbledon: Pimm’s and strawberries and cream.
We are also offering a Wimbledon themed afternoon tea which features sweet treats including Wimbledon themed pistachio and green tea delice, strawberry & cream tart, lemon macaroons, buttered shortbread and Pimm’s jelly. Savory plates include a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches and light fluffy scones with jam, clotted cream and lemon curd. You will receive all of this along with a selection of tea and a glass of Pink Champagne. You can book in for Wimbledon Afternoon Tea from Saturday 22nd June throughout the Wimbledon period. For more information or to book click here.
Wimbledon 2014 dates run from Monday 23rd June with the final’s taking place on the weekend of 5th & 6th July. Tickets can still be purchased for Wimbledon but they are very difficult to get hold of so you need to be prepared and quick. One option is the ‘On The Day Sale’, this means you will need to queue for tickets, and if you want to be successful then you are likely to be queuing with your tent overnight! The other option is via Ticketmaster on the day before the play, a few hundred tickets are released, so be ready at your computer when they go live and cross your fingers!
We wish you the best of luck!
