The Royal Academy London clears gallery space every summer for emerging and established artists. This exhibition has been a voice for artists since 1768 with a new display of talent every year. In the early days of this exhibition there were many constraints which needed to be followed, however now these have been removed and the show boasts creativity and individuality. At this exhibition you will see a variety of artistic techniques from abstract and conceptual to the brilliantly traditional techniques.
The Summer Exhibition also flaunts its differences from other art academies and museums with a procession taking place along Piccadilly. This consists of the exhibiting artists who are led from the Royal Academy by a steel band to parade down Piccadilly to St James’s Church.
Flemings Mayfair is on a quite road just off Piccadilly and would therefore make a great place for you to stop if you plan to visit the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2014. We have a range of services available from afternoon tea, to lunch or dinner at our award winning restaurant, or maybe our exquisite cocktails and canapés will take your fancy; the list is endless.
The Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts will be open to the public until 17th August 2014. The daily exhibition opening times are from 10am to 16.30, with late night showings until 20.30 on Friday evenings. Standard adult tickets are £12, to purchase you ticket click here.
