Kensington Water Play Area
This play area is fantastic for children, especially in the summer as there is a fun playground with a space rocket climbing frame but also a water play area, great for cooling down in the sunshine. With the fun water jets and sand pits there is something for toddlers through to older children. The play area is in Kensington Memorial Park, near St Marks Road entrance and is free of charge for all families.

Notting Hill Carnival
Notting Hill Carnival is one of the most famous carnivals in the world. The carnival celebrates the Caribbean culture with colourful parades, fantastic music, live steel bands and wonderful street foods giving the public the option to try gorgeous traditional Caribbean food, including the famous jerk chicken. This carnival promotes a happy and fun atmosphere, a weekend you will not forget.
South West Four 2014 festival.
As we all know, August bank holiday is the most popular weekend in the UK for music festivals. We have our fingers crossed that the weekend will be sunny ensuring you will not be swimming your way to the stages like at Glastonbury! BBC Good Food Festival
If you are a foodie then this festival is a must visit this August bank holiday. With top celebrity chefs and tasting dishes from award winning restaurants, as well as live entertainment, this bank holiday event will be a delicious choice. It is also catered to children with lots of fun activities for them to take part in, plus if they are under 16 then entry is free. The BBC Good Food Festival is held at Hampton Court Palace across Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August, Adult entry is £15.50 online.
