Flemings Hotel Near Green Park London
Flemings Mayfair is especially fond of one of London's top parks, Green Park. Just a hop, skip and a jump away from Flemings, Green Park is a peaceful haven to soak up the sun and natural beauty of the Parks green spaces. Many visitors enjoy taking refuge from the busy London city life amongst the mature trees and grassy areas of Green Park. A gentle stroll from the hotel though Green Park, towards Victoria and across The Mall brings you to Buckingham Palace, the London Residence of Her Majesty The Queen.
Green Park enjoys an interesting history. Green Park was first recorded in 1554 and Charles II later devoted the park to deer hunting. It was then known as Upper St James's Park but renamed as The Green Park by 1746. Autumn transforms the Park as the leaves turn and blanket the ground in bright shades of yellow, orange and red but it is the summer that really brings the Park alive.
The sunny days of summer are a perfect time to enjoy a picnic in this beautiful London park. Our Green Park picnics include everything you could want for a real feast: sandwiches, salads and sausage rolls; fruit scones with jam and clotted cream, fruit salad and mini cupcakes, homemade summer soft drinks and a bottle of house wine.
