  • Piccadilly Circus

    

    Piccadilly runs from Hyde Park Corner in the west to Piccadilly Circus in the east a 10 minute walk from Flemings Mayfair. It is the location of St James's Church, an Anglican church designed by Sir Christopher Wren, Fortnum & Mason, the Royal Academy, Ritz Hotel and Hatchards book shop. Piccadilly Circus a famous road junction, built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with the major shopping street of Piccadilly. It now links directly to the theatres on Shaftesbury Avenue as well as the Haymarket, Coventry Street (leads to Leicester Square), and Glasshouse Street. The Circus is a landmark meeting place, famous for its video displays and neon signs mounted on the corner building, as well as the Shaftesbury memorial fountain and statue of an archer popularly known as Eros.

    To get to Piccadilly Circus from Flemings Mayfair Hotel and Apartments take the Piccadilly Underground Line one stop to Piccadilly Circus or walk east along Piccadilly for 10 minutes.
