A little bit about Flemings Mayfair

Flemings Mayfair is one of the most iconic boutique hotels in Mayfair. Part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the award-winning hotel offers unrivalled luxury accommodation in one of London's most prestigious neighbourhoods. Converted from thirteen Georgian townhouses, some of them dating back to 1731, it was founded by Robert Fleming in 1851, making it one of London's oldest established hotels. Mr Fleming first ran a lodging house at number 10 Half Moon Street and started running what he called a private hotel in 1855 at 9 and 10 Half Moon Street.

An Iconic hotel in Mayfair London

Located right at the centre of Mayfair London, Flemings Mayfair is the perfect base for a leisure escape in London or a business stay in the capital. Ideally located, the hotel is within easy access of classic attractions such as Buckingham Palace and luxury shops, including the historic Burlington Arcade, Berkeley Square – where Winston Churchill lived as a child – and the luxury department store Harvey Nichols. It is also ideally located near the prominent Royal Parks such as Hyde Park or Green Park, situated directly across from the hotel.

Historic Mayfair

Mayfair has also long been the heart of the literary elite. It was home to the famous writer Henry James and Flemings Mayfair was the setting of an Agatha Christie novel, At Bertram's Hotel. The streets of Mayfair are dotted with history and mesmerising anecdotes; they have also played backdrops to novels by some of the world's most renowned authors, including Austen, Waugh, Thackeray and Wilde.

Location

Flemings Mayfair is easily accessible via the Underground, with the Victoria, Piccadilly, and Jubilee Lines all stopping at Green Park Underground station. Travelling from London's major airports (Heathrow and London City) and from St Pancras International station to Flemings Mayfair is fast and convenient by public transport or via a car arranged by the hotel Concierge.
