"Hello! I'm
Paul, head concierge at Flemings, and I'd love to share with you some of my knowledge of London, especially its
hidden treasures.
"Flemings location, in the
heart of Mayfair, is just one reason that attracts many of our guests. The hotel is so convenient to London's public transport - being just a few minutes from Green Park tube as well as beautiful
Green Park itself. Perfect for those wanting a
sanctuary in the middle of London and, of course, for joggers!
"But my favourite part of London is
Shepherd Market, right next to Flemings. Just off Curzon Street, this charming piazza was developed in 1735-46. In addition to sampling the
Fleming's Grill menu, I always recommend that guests take a wander over and have a pint of beer at Ye Grapes or The Market Tavern followed by dinner at one of the local restaurants.
"A few of my personal favourites are
Le Boudin Blanc with its excellent French cuisine;
The Little Square with its European emphasis;
The Old Express for those wanting English cuisine or
Al Hamra, which is one of the best Lebanese restaurants you can find.
Piccolo's Café is also great for those with less time on their hands seeking a casual yet buzzy café.
"So come and visit Flemings, take a walk around the legendary
Shepherd Market and sense the evocative revellery of the May Fair, which gave the area its name. I'm looking forward to meeting you and sharing my best 'finds' in the local area. Do be sure to stop by and say hello!"
