Explore London Transport Museum in the heart of Covent Garden in London. The Museum’s exhibitions uncover the story of London and its transport system over the last 200 years, highlighting the powerful link between transport and the growth of modern London, culture and society since 1800.
The Museum cares for over 450,000 items – preserving, researching and acquiring objects to use in the galleries, exhibitions and other activities. Art and design fans will love the London by Design gallery which showcases internationally recognised classic design including original Tube maps, vintage advertising posters and striking moquette fabric designs. Children can try out the new Elizabeth line train driving experience in the Future Engineers gallery and the All Aboard family play zone where little ones can climb into the driver’s seat of a real bus or dress up as a mechanic.
