Paul Smith No. 9 Albemarle Street is the company’s global flagship shop. It stocks the latest men’s and women’s collections alongside artwork, design collaborations and unique objects sourced from around the world.Opened in 2005, No. 9 Albemarle Street was originally a place for Paul to share his passion for design by selling furniture, objects and artworks that he collected on his travels. When the shop expanded to become the London flagship in 2013, Paul’s desire to celebrate creative design remained. The newly expanded shop was conceived as an ever-changing space where shirts and sculpture would be shown side-by-side. The basement was developed into a flexible gallery space to host special events and exhibitions. To date, it has housed special exhibitions by David Bailey, R.E.M. and Derek Ridgers - to name only a few. The award winning façade of the building is made from cast iron, which artfully reinterprets ornamental Regency forms from the original Georgian townhouse beneath.
